Wishlist Wednesday!

We are back for another edition of...
We are going to keep this up for a while! Ffion did not really know how linkys work, but she *thinks* she has it now. :)

Ffion's Wishlist:
My TPT Item:
This little number is from Maria Manore from Kinder-Craze. LOVE her stuff. This pack goes along with a Dr. Jean song. (Color Farm) I have been looking for a new way to do colors for the first few weeks of school and this is perfect and interactive.
 My Classroom Item:

At my school we do Kinder Camp for the first week, where all the kiddos move classes each day to get the classes leveled. These would be perfect to have for the kids to have how they get home and their lunch number written on!
My "I want" item:
I went to the mall the other week with my sister and she spotted this at the Coach store...

It is the perfect little crossbody bag. It is quilted leather, which I love, and makes me feel like I may have a Chanel. :)

Morgan's Wishlist:
My TPT Item:

I think this idea is a neat way to get my littles using reading strategies in a fun and interactive way!

 My Classroom Item:
This rug from Lakeshore is on my Donors Choose right now and I am hoping it will be fully funded before school starts! I am so over putting down stickers with numbers for places on the carpet. This would make life a little easier!

My "I want" item:
More of the following...
I really am in full on denial that I will be going back in less than two weeks. I've enjoyed this break a little too much!

Tabletop Organizer Demo!!

Hey all! This is Ffion bringing you a little craft post. :) Now I am not the biggest crafter, I dabble.
BUT, a teacher at our school had these last year and I knew I wanted to make them for this coming year. Overall it was not that hard! Here is my little demo if you find you want to make them!

I really hope that made sense!! I am pretty excited about them! We use tables in kindergarten, so these will work well for my kids to turn them and put all sorts of materials in them. I plan on having pencils in the bucket. Crayons, erasers, glue sticks, dry erase markers will go in the cups on the outside. If you use desks in your room this would be great at your teacher table or at a writing/art work station.

Come back tomorrow for another edition of Wishlist Wednesday!!

Wishlist Wednesday: Our First Linky!

Hey all! We are so excited to announce our first and new linky party! Yes it is almost the end of Wednesday, but the day got away from us! Ffion was at a gifted/talented workshop and Morgan is getting ready to see Debbie Diller tomorrow! {Ffion is very jealous} So feel free to post whenever!!

Morgan and I had (and have) a problem with seeing something and buying it. We have constant wishlists of items and thought why not see what everyone else wants and keep contributing to the problem! HA!

Ffion's Wishlist:
My TPT wishlist item
I found this little gem from Miss Kindergarten while planning our new word work unit. We have put more letter study in there and these are just too cute.

My classroom wishlist item
I am wanting these stools so bad right now! I saw them from my friend Haley at The School Belle. I am still waiting to pull the trigger due to the shipping. :( Let's be real though, I will most likely buy them. oops.

My "I want" wishlist item
I seriously have 239845710 items on my "I want" list, but this one tops them ALL.

Ahh, yes. The Mulberry Bayswater. It just sounds perfect. I have wanted this for 6 years now. Nearly bought it twice. Wish it wasn't one of my paychecks. :( Some day.

Morgan's Wishlist:
My TPT wishlist item
I love these two items from Kim Adsit and Sara Cooley! I actually want ALL of Kim's units! The woman is amaze! And I love Sarah Cooley's writing prompts for the year! I want them all! They would be perfect for First Grade.

My classroom wishlist item:
I have been wanting  these book bins for my guided reading area for a few weeks now. I just haven't bit the bullet and bought them yet! But I am sure I will crack soon enough!

My "I want" wishlist item:
I have loved this Hermes bracelet for years! I have pinned it several times to my Pinterest Wishlist board. Loves it. It would sit nicely upon my arm right? And I would obviously take the watch too... I mean a girl can dream :)

We can't wait to see what you all have on your wishlist! We can hear the bank accounts crying....

All About the Teachers!

We know it has been a LONG time since anything was posted here, and we are so excited about this blog, BUT our lives have been crazy!! We both just started new teaching positions at new schools. Needless to say, we have been all over the place and now finally are ready to start this new blog together!
We thought we would start with a little introduction into the lives of the two of us!

Ffion
{by the by its fee-on}
Hey all!! I am so excited about this new blog with my teacher BFF.
A little about me:
From: I was born in Wales, and moved to Texas when I was five.
College: LSU (geaux tigers!) I loved it so much I went back :) I earned my Masters of Education in May!
Taught at: I have been teaching for five years (what?!) I have taught second, first, and now kindergarten. I joke I will keep moving down until I am delivering babies.
New about me: I just moved from Baton Rouge, where I taught with Morgan, back to Dallas. I love me some Texas. :)
Teaching philosophy: I believe that all children should be taught with hands on experiences, reading frequently, and be in a warm welcoming environment. I believe ALL children can be taught. :)
Favorite subject to teach: Reading, and now I am starting to love math.
What I want for this blog: I want this blog to be an outlet for teachers to come and learn about new practices and products. I also want it to be a lifestyle view of what it is to be a teacher. We plan on having fashion posts, so everyone can see that teachers don't just wear holiday sweaters and jean dresses. I also want everyone to see how we run our lives everyday and how we make it all work! :)

Morgan
I am thrilled to start this new adventure in the blogging world with my teacher soulmate!
 A little about me:
From: Louisiana
College: LSU (And if you have read my other blog then you know I love me some football season! Geaux Tigers!)
Taught at: This is my golden year of teaching… Fifth year, what what! I student taught in fourth and was initially hired as a 4th/5th gifted teacher. However, over the summer before my first year my principal called and asked if I would consider taking a 1st grade position that needed to be filled. I accepted and Thank you Jesus I did. It was love at first sight and I have been in first since.
New about me: The last year of my life has been a whirl wind. I got engaged last Thanksgiving. Fast forward to July and I am marrying my favorite person in the world!
I moved to a new city and luckily a week before my wedding got a phone call from an amazing principal in the city I was moving to. I guess it was destiny because I am now in first grade AGAIN! Although I still feel like I have not relaxed since last Thanksgiving I could not be happier. One thing missing in my life? My teacher BFF teaching next door to me. Sad face.
What I want for this blog: When I first talked to Ffion about having our joint blog, the first thing we agreed on was we wanted it to be different than other teaching blogs out there in the blogging world. Do you ever read other blogs and ask does this girl sleep? Well… the answer is usually no. JUST KIDDING! However, I want this blog to be a little insight into the daily lives of teachers. I want it to be an outlet for new ideas, cute teacher outfits, and even daily routines we do each day. Such as, which eye concealer best works for those mornings where its been a long week and grades are due :).

Now that you know all about us, we are going to kick off this thing with a GIVEAWAY!
One lucky winner will get to pick one item from each of our TPT stores!

Here is how to enter:
1. Follow All that Glitters in Teaching
2. Follow Ffion's TPT store
3. Follow Morgan's TPT store

Leave a comment for each!
Giveaway ends on Halloween!!

We are so excited to be starting this blog together, and we hope you join in on the fun!
